Writing the popular and award-winning weekly Sporting Life column, a firsthand look at the many and often unique recreational activities Georgia has to offer. Activities attempted include skydiving, hang gliding, bull riding, ice climbing, lawn mower racing and nude water volleyball.
At least one day per week, editing all sports stories and laying out the entire sports section using QuarkXPress.
Writing the weekly On the Line with Todd McClure column, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the life of an NFL player. McClure is the starting center for the Atlanta Falcons.
Reporting on the Olympic hopefuls of the Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club and Lake Lanier Rowing Club, legacies of the Atlanta Olympic Games held on Gainesville’s Lake Lanier in 1996.

Researching and writing all stories for HIM’s bimonthly international news section.
Traveling throughout the United States to represent HIM at trade shows and important industry events.

Responsibilities included:
Making editorial decisions on content for the publication’s 125-plus editions nationwide.
Editing and revising sports listings and features for all editions.
Coordinating the assignments of four writers and two copy editors on sports desk.
Working with the New York features department in the production of special sports sections, such as the College Bowl Preview.
The Danville News, Danville, Pa. Sports Writer. June ‘91-August’94. Wrote game stories, athlete profiles and sports features for daily newspaper. Also wrote occasionally for the paper’s news and features sections.

Using PageMaker for Macintosh, produced, edited and designed all texts for small, privately-owned publisher of scholarly books.
